  • Regular eye exam

    During your comprehensive eye exam your optometrist will check that your eyes are healthy and will test your vision to determine your contact lens prescription.

  • Contact lens consultation

    During your contact lens exam your optometrist will check for dry eye symptoms and consult with you to determine what type of contact lenses are the best fit for your lifestyle and vision needs.

  • Contact lens fitting

    For ideal vision correction and comfort, contact lenses must fit well. Your optometrist will examine the size and shape of your cornea and pupil to ensure the right fit.

  • Contact lens trial and follow-up

    Your optometrist will insert trial lenses and ask you to keep them on for 15-20 minutes to be sure the fit is comfortable and vision is clear. After a few days, you'll come in for a follow-up evaluation.

Can dry eye sufferers wear contact lenses?

Usually, yes. While some types of contact lenses can aggravate symptoms of dry eye syndrome, such as eye dryness, redness and irritation, other contacts are perfectly suitable for dry eyes. Speak with an eye doctor near you regarding your dry eye symptoms, and they'll prescribe the perfect contact lenses for ultimate comfort.

Can a child wear contact lenses?

It's a case-by-case basis. Typically, eye doctors don’t prescribe contacts to children under the age of 11 or 12, though there are exceptions. Front desk staff are polite and helpful. Dr. Halscheid is an excellent provider of eye care. He is ... professional, thorough, patient with any questions and so kind. Dale always helps me with issues with my glasses. She adjusted my progressive lens and today they are working better. Dr. Sherman recently took care of my husband in an emergency injury situation. She gave him excellent care and he recovered in 24 hours. I love this practice and have been going there for over 10 years. I would recommend anyone who needs eye care to go to Clompus and Reto in Exton or West Chester.

A day ago I called the office for an appointment and spoke with Wendy who told me she would try to f... it me in for an appointment as I had some discomfort in my eye and was getting concerned it was something serious. She lady fit me in the next evening as the last appointment for the day. Well I just wanted to thank Dr. Sherman for conducting a mini surgery on my eye tonight. No one wants to go to the eye doctor and hear you have a small metal object in your eye. I was very surprised and concerned when she told me the news. She followed promptly by saying “ But we are going to remove it right now.” Not what I was expecting but I have complete trust in Clompus, Reto & Halscheid Vision Associates. I have been a patient of Dr Reto’s for 35 years and of Dr. Clompus before that. If Dr.Sherman says we are going to take it out-it’s coming out! The procedure was done extremely well with the thorough explanations I have come to expect from every one of the Doctors who I have seen here. Dr. Sherman was amazing and I am writing to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for her professional skills and thorough examination after to make sure all was ok. I am fortunate to have such a practice in my neighborhood. I have had laser eye surgery to correct my vision through this practice which changed my life. Every person in my family from my grandmother to my children have been patients here. There is no one I would trust more with than Clompus, Reto & Halscheid Vision Associates with my sight. No one.
